We are looking for a skilled and creative YouTube Video Editor who can professionally edit long-form YouTube videos and engaging Shorts/Reels.
Location: Remote
About the Role
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, retention, sound design, motion graphics, captions, transitions, and visual storytelling. You should be able to take raw footage and turn it into polished, engaging content that is optimized for YouTube.
Key Responsibilities
Edit professional, engaging, and retention-focused YouTube videos
Create high-quality YouTube Shorts, Reels, and other short-form content
Work with raw footage and turn it into polished final videos
Add B-roll, captions, transitions, sound effects, music, motion graphics, and visual effects
Handle audio cleanup, sound design, color correction, and basic color grading
Maintain strong storytelling, pacing, and viewer engagement
Repurpose long-form content into multiple engaging short-form videos
Follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across content
Make revisions based on feedback and deliver projects within deadlines
Required Skills & Technical Knowledge
Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably with YouTube content
Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software
Hands-on experience creating YouTube Shorts/Reels
Good understanding of motion graphics, captions, keyframes, masking, transitions, and visual effects
Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
Knowledge of audio editing, color correction, and video optimization
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Plus:
Previous experience with Amazon/e-commerce video content is a strong plus
Experience with AI-based video editing/content creation tools is a plus
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply "cut clips together," but understands how to tell a story, maintain viewer attention, and make content visually engaging.
Portfolio is required. Candidates must share relevant YouTube and/or Shorts work.
