IT Project Manager
Location : Lahore
Position Summary:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of IT projects ensuring timely and quality delivery of critical transformation projects, managing the budgets, resources, and risks associated using industry standard agile and waterfall methodologies and techniques. IT Project Manager will be responsible for working with cross-functional stakeholders to outline and manage project plans, key deliverables, communication, risks/issues and weekly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, scope management, financial management and execution for IT projects in support of business objectives
- Responsible for identifying project milestones and tracking progress, including outcomes, of the project phases
- Responsible to lead and manage project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
- Responsible for managing project performance using standard project management tools, procedures, and adhering to Fossil standards
- Responsible for managing issues, risks, and appropriate mitigation plans
- Responsible for identifying and clearing project roadblocks in a timely manner
- Responsible for applying critical thinking to manage project dependencies throughout project lifecycle
- Responsible for coordinating/facilitating meetings as needed to support project related activities
- Responsible for providing project status to all levels of the organization
- Responsible for facilitating knowledge transfer of Projects to IT Operations team
- Responsible for maintaining annual PMP certification and staying current with PMP trends
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Certified Project Management certification (PMP) or Scrum Master certification a plus
- 5+ years of experience in IT and business/industry work experience
Skills and Behaviors:
- Knowledge of retail systems preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Proven experience working with agile and waterfall delivery methods and techniques
- Proven ability to manage multiple project tasks and timelines to successful completion
- Working knowledge of JIRA & Confluence
- Expert understanding of current and emerging information technologies and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
