Accounts Manager
Description
As an Accounts Manager, you will have overall functional responsibility for managing the Accounting Operations of the organization, leading a small team of two accounting staff. You will ensure the smooth functioning of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach to the financial management of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Oversee and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial transactions.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Monitor and control operating expenses, ensuring they align with budgetary guidelines and financial objectives.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of two accounting staff, overseeing their day-to-day activities and providing guidance as needed.
- Ensure tasks are efficiently delegated, monitored, and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth within the accounting team.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely payment to suppliers.
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, follow-ups, and managing outstanding payments.
- Ensure accounts are reconciled regularly to maintain financial accuracy.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts based on business needs and growth plans.
- Monitor budgetary performance, report on variances, and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational efficiency improvement.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax obligations.
- Coordinate with auditors during audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
Requirements
Must have:
- Someone CA part or article ship completed or Graduate with accounting background.
- Managing end to end Accounts / Finance department.
- Team management
- Experience of Handling tax matters
Other requirements:
- CA Partial complete, Articles completed
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the SME, services sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and Tax matters.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a small team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong ethics and integrity, with attention to detail and accuracy.
